Trillium Park and William G. Davis Trail
Toronto, ON, Canada
Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager - with West 8
Completed in 2017, Trillium Park is a year-round, multi-use waterfront community and urban park - a 7.5 acre lake front parking lot transformed to provide access to another section of Toronto’s waterfront previously unavailable to the public. The urban park and waterfront trail provide a new segment - an extension of the existing Martin Goodman Trail - to Ontario’s larger continuous waterfront greenway.
The park and waterfront trail are designs by LANDinc in partnership with West 8. West 8 in collaboration with LANDinc was responsible for the Conceptual Design of the park. 100% Design Development was handed over to LANDinc. Construction Documents and on site supervision responsibility was carried by LANDinc.
Role on the Project:
- Leveraged relationships to provide fee and scoping for successful bid with our partners at LandINC.
- Participated in conceptual design, production and coordination of deliverables for a series of public meetings held throughout the design process.
- Led the technical analysis, design, production and delivery of SD and DD drawing packages. These phases were accelerated and completed in 3 months.
- Managed an international team of consultants through DD phase.
- Led the team’s VE efforts and provided significant input on cost estimating by others.
- Independently sourced and established logistics for the procurement, delivery, and installation of granite block and stone, a key element to the parks’ conceptual and socio-cultural design.
