GUPPY - Crafting Unique Experiences
Not Your Average Fish.
Hi! I’m happy you’re here.
Most call me “Blair.” Some call me “Guppy.” I’m a Canadian-born, American-made landscape architect living in Brooklyn.
Growing up in the rugged landscape of the Pacific Northwest, immersed in West coast modern innovation and creative spirit, I seek to prolong this connection to nature through my, capturing the essence of our surroundings. A kinesthete, I move to make sense of things. Topography enables the symbiotic coexistence of building and context, permitting natural flows, and seamlessly responding to the site’s unique characteristics.
I’ve been fortunate to have contributed to award-winning built works with renowned firms such as W Architecture, PFS Studio, and West 8, where I’ve led complex projects like Miami Beach’s “Soundscape Park” and Phase 1 of the “Governors Island Park and Public Space”, leading large teams of engineers and architects in pursuit of design and build excellence. For over two decades, I’ve shaped cities and stories as a landscape architect, guided by a belief that good design doesn’t just solve problems—it uncovers better questions.
My practice is grounded in embodied curiosity and driven by purpose: I explore the intersections of physical movement, advocacy, spatial design, and system-level change. Whether I’m reimagining urban shorelines, translating indigenous histories into public space, or improving workflows, I’m always working to clarify complexity, elevate possibility, and create work that moves people—in every sense.
From the ground up and the inside out. Welcome to my practice.
I live to fly in the face of what is established and possible, I see the links between design and all that other stuff, and I have a font named after me.
